HELP US SPREAD THE WORD - WRite to your MP

An Early Day Motion (EDM) is a formal motion in the House of Commons, it calls for:

- Sentencing remarks to be made available upon request for hearings in the Magistrates' courts, at no cost

- The judges summing up transcripts and/or audio recordings of hearings in the Crown Court and Magistrate Court to be provided to victims upon request, at no cost

- Crown Court and Magistrate Court sentencing remarks and routes to verdict to ultimately be published in the interest of open justice

We need MPs to sign the EDM for it to make an impact in the government. The more MPs who sign it, the harder it is for the Government to ignore, so please, give us a few minutes of your time to support Victim-Survivors and write to your MP.

We have pre-written the letter, all you need to do is press send.

we launch an early day motion in Parliament, tabled by Jess Brown-Fuller.

Sometimes tech fails. If it isn’t working, or you’d prefer to write your own letter instead, you can use this template, and you can find your MP here.
